Key Features

"Our proposal seeks to create a complementary retail anchor for the area."

Included in the design will be a state-of-the-art full-line Woolworths supermarket which will serve as a complementary retail anchor for existing businesses in the area. The proposed design incorporates architecturally-designed apartments set above the retail, providing new, quality living options within easy walking distance of shops, cafes, services and Central Park. The site will include ample underground car parking with direct access to the supermarket and apartments above.

Our proposal aims to reflect the unique local character of Glen Iris and deliver on Stonnington Council’s vision for high quality apartments and convenient shopping for the area.

New supermarket

Included in the design will be a state-of-the-art, full-line Woolworths supermarket which will serve as a complementary retail anchor for existing businesses in the area. Our economic analysis has shown there will be a boost to trade to existing retailers at Central Park Village, as the new supermarket will allow more shopping to be completed locally.

Access and transport

Located at ground level between two levels of basement car parking and four levels of residential apartments, the Woolworths store will provide easy ground floor access for community members and will be accompanied by a BWS Liquor store.

Accessed via Hope Street, the underground carpark includes direct access to the supermarket and apartments. The proposal also includes over 250 car spaces for future customers, residents, and visitors with dedicated parking for parents and people with disabilities.

Sustainability

The project will be targeting a 4-Star Greenstar Rating in line with the Green Building Council of Australia.

Apartments

Approximately 90 high-quality, architecturally-designed apartments across four levels above the Woolworths podium on the ground floor. The project would include a range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom options

Respecting our neighbours

The proposal will enhance privacy for our neighbours through incorporating landscaping to screen across the site boundary. Retail service areas will be located to reduce noise for neighbouring properties.

Planning Process
